1. What accreditation do the programmes offered by the Vishwakarma University have?

Vishwakarma University is established as a State Private University under Government of Maharashtra Act no. XXXVIII dated 3rd May 2017. All programmes offered by the Vishwakarma University conform to the guidelines laid down by the UGC.

2. What is the medium of instruction in the class?

The medium of instruction in the class is English

3. Is there any capitation fee?

No, there is no capitation fee to be paid for admission to any programmes at Vishwakarma University.

No, there is no management quota.

6. When do I apply?

Students can start applying from June 2017 onwards.

7. Is there any agent who can help me in getting admission to VU?

We do not have any agents or middlemen for admissions. Students are advised to directly contact the admissions cell for admissions.

10. How do I send the application and required documents?

If the application has been downloaded, then the required documents can be sent by post/courier/speed post to the following address:

11. What will happen after I apply?

The admissions cell shall screen your application and communicate to you the further steps to confirm your admission.

12. Is there any entrance exam for foreign/NRI quota?

No. There is no entrance exam for foreign/NRI quota. Admission is based on first come basis provided student meets the eligibility requirements.

13. Do Indian students need to take the online entrance test?

We admit students on the basis of merit. Admissions to certain programmes are based on Entrance test scores. We accept valid entrance test scores of all national entrance exams. Students can also appear for Vishwakarma University National Entrance Test (VUNET) for others, we consider the score in the qualifying examination/CET/JEE.

14. Can a foreign student study at Vishwakarma University with a 'Tourist Visa'?

No. A foreign student (citizen) can study at VU only with a 'Student Visa'. If the foreign citizen is of Indian origin, then he/she can apply and get a PIO (Person of Indian Origin) Card or and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). Candidates with PIO or OCI can study in India without a student visa.

15. How do I apply for a student visa or PIO or OCI?

You can apply for a Student Visa or PIO or OCI with your nearest Indian Embassy or Consulate. You will have to apply for a Student Visa based on the confirmed admission letter issued by the International Admissions Cell.

16. Can I apply for admission before I have the result for my qualifying examination?

Yes, you can begin your application process before you get your final result. For courses where admissions are based on your scores, you need to submit your scores for the qualifying examination on or before the respective last date. For other courses, you need to submit only the proof of passing of your qualifying examination at the time of counseling/ admission.

17. Can I get admission based only on the Vishwakarma University National Entrance Test (VUNET)?

You can get admissions based on the Vishwakarma University National Entrance Test (VUNET)provided you meet other eligibility criteria.

18. Can I get a loan for study at VU?

Yes, you can avail loan from banks.

19. When should I arrive at Vishwakarma Campus , if selected to any of the programs offered at Vishwakarma University?

Students can plan to arrive 1-2 days prior to the commencement of classes. Admitted students should visit the website of the university for updates and programme commencement dates.

20. Do you provide hostel accommodation to students?

Yes VU provides hostel accommodation. You may contact the admissions cell for further detals.

21. Where is the VU Campus and How to reach the Vishwakarma University Campus?

VU Campus is located at Kondhwa (Bk) Pune-48.
PMPML buses from Swargate Route No. 13A will take you to the Vishwakarma University Campus,

22. Do you provide transport facility to students?

Yes. A dedicated bus service is available Vishwakarma University Campus to Upper Indira Nagar Bus Depot.

24. When I come for counseling or admission where can I stay?

Candidates visiting us for counseling and admission have to make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging.

25. Can my parents / friends complete the admission formalities on my behalf?

Yes, the admission formalities can be completed by your parents / friends. They can complete the admission requirements by paying the fees and submitting the original documents on your behalf.

26. Can I take back the original documents with me?

Yes, you can collect back your original documents once you complete the programme. We shall provide an acknowledgement for your original documents at the time of submission of the original documents.

27. Do my parents need to accompany me when I come for counseling?

No, it is not mandatory for your parents to come with you unless your age is under 18 years. However, we would love to receive your parents along with you and help them understand Vishwakarma University better.
